Kick Start to Crunch&Sip
WHAT IS KICK START TO CRUNCH&SIP?
Are your students losing focus in the classroom? Do they keep asking for a drink? if so, Crunch&Sip might be the answer to better concentration and behaviour.
Western Australian primary schools are encouraged to Kick Start Crunch&Sip in Term One of each school year to introduce (or re-introduce) students, parents, teachers and school staff to a daily Crunch&Sip break. This event is for:
- schools who would like to try Crunch&Sip
- schools in the process of becoming a certified Crunch&Sip school,
- classrooms registered as a Crunch&Sip Classroom, or
- certified Crunch&Sip schools that would like to re-invigorate or re-launch the program.
Schools or classrooms can allocate a week or a few days at any time in term one to run a Crunch&Sip activity. Your school can decide what to do and when to do it! You may decide to have a whole school Crunch&Sip break, order free resources, place an insert in the school newsletter, download and distribute parent letters, participate in the March Munch vegie eating challenge or join the expanding list of certified Crunch&Sip schools. Schools that are already certified can use this week to re-invigorate the program and promote the benefits of eating fruit and vegetables and drinking water to the school community.

WA schools are invited to Kick Start to Crunch&Sip in 2017 by participating in the March Munch vegie eating challenge. The aim of this event is to encourage children to choose vegetables for Crunch&Sip. Registered classrooms will receive vegetable tally charts and stickers for each student, classroom activity ideas, incentive prizes and more!
